Check Your Calendar!
Did you know that you should be visiting our office for a hygiene examination and cleaning every six months? We recommend that some patients, especially those who suffer from gum disease, see us even more frequently. If you are realizing that it has been a while since your last hygiene examination, now is the perfect time to schedule an appointment for you or your loved ones. Even if you take excellent care of your teeth each day by thoroughly brushing and flossing, we still need to check them regularly. Read on to learn about why we are so passionate about regular dental care for you and your family.
Routine Oral Hygiene Examinations are Important
Since we see our patients so infrequently during the year, most of the responsibility for their oral health falls on their shoulders. Even if you have an excellent oral hygiene routine and feel you clean your teeth perfectly, we still encourage routine dental care in our office. It can be very easy for bacteria to build up on teeth and cause plaque. Not to mention, gum disease affects more than half of American adults and does not have many warning signs to indicate an issue or problem. During dental cleanings, our team can properly remove lingering plaque and tartar from your teeth. We also inspect your teeth and mouth for issues such as cavities and gum disease.
All Members of Your Family are Welcome
Not only do we treat adults, but we are also happy to see all members of your family, including children and teens. Just like adults, our younger patients should also be visiting our office every six months for a hygiene examination and cleaning. We know that life can be busy with children, between school, sports, and other activities. Making routine dental care a priority is important to be sure there is no decay or other issues developing. Visiting our office regularly will also encourage routine dental care to continue into adulthood.
